I think the 'piercings' would really work with it if they were a fair bit less perpendicular to the shapes of the car, and if you added more than one per spot you do have the piercings. So say if there were two piercings on the side mirrors were closer to the body/door of the car, and rotated maybe 30-45 degrees away from the body.

I reckon if the piercings followed the contours of the headlights (say, still on the bumper, but with the lines almost parallel to the headlight lines), I think that might just make it work.

It might just be that I think they look awkward bulging out the way they do. Juuust my 2 cents
